This years Batavierenrace will take place on the 28 th and the 29 th of April 2023. After the Batavierenrace you can party at the largest student festival in the Benelux.The Batavierenrace is worlds biggest relay race of 175km from Nijmegen to Enschede. It consists of 25 stages divided over a team of 25 students. In order to not spread the field too far apart during the run there are two major restart points along the way: Ulft and Barchem. This creates three blocks: the night block Nijmegen-Ulft, the morning block Ulft-Barchem and the afternoon block Barchem-Enschede.

So we as SSA are looking for the best runners of Amsterdam. But if you can put your left foot before your right foot and can do that for several minutes, then you more than welcome as well! Our goal this year is to beat our time from last year (13:02:34). After you have registered you will receive a confirmation email from us and you will be added to our Team Amsterdam group chat. Here we can keep everyone up-to-date. Eventually this can also help to get to know each other, motivate each other and plan running dates togheter. In the run-up to the Batavierenrace, we want to organize a number of training sessions so that we can get to know each other and learn from each other. More information will follow in January.

If there are in the end more than 25 registrations, we will hold a selection training at the end of March to decide who will run for Team Amsterdam. But don’t let this scare you to enroll. If in the end you didn’t make the final team, we can still use your help! Maybe you can help with the logistics that day, or come and cheer the rest of Team Amsterdam on so that we can beat Team Amsterdam from 2022!
