A.s.r. H.O.R.S. is a student riding club in Amsterdam founded in 1911. Every Friday evening its members take dressage and jumping lessons in the beautiful Hollandsche Manege next to the Vondelpark. Classes are followed by a cozy drink, the 'après chevaux'. At H.O.R.S. students of all levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced!
In addition to the regular classes, a.s.r. H.O.R.S. also various other activities for its members. For example, we regularly drive outdoor rides for all levels through the woods or on the beach, for example. In addition, we regularly organize special lessons such as a women's saddle lesson, western lesson or cross training. And we participate in dressage and jumping competitions. Furthermore, every year we go on H.O.R.S. weekend and other activities are also organized such as a pub quiz or Christmas dinner.
A.s.r. H.O.R.S. is an official sub-association of the Amsterdam student association A.S.C./A.V.S.V. Although our association now has many members who are not members of the A.S.C./A.V.S.V., we still have a good relationship with this student association.
