Tennis & Padel
A.S.T.P.V. Chip & Charge is the Amsterdam Student Tennis and Padel Association for all students who want to combine fun and sport. It is the perfect association for tennis and padel players of all levels, from beginner to advanced. Even if you've never touched a racket, you've come to the right place at Chip & Charge!
We organize many tennis and padel related activities, such as: participation in the Spring and Fall Competition Tennis and Padel, visiting the ABN Amro tournament, the Dutch Student Championship, the club championships, various other tournaments throughout the year (highlighted by our own Open Tournaments in February and August) and monthly toss nights on Monday evenings. In addition, as an association we offer much more than just an individual tennis and padel membership at the University Sports Center (USC) and tennis and padel related activities. At Chip & Charge there is also room for people who are less fond of tennis and/or padel. That is why we organize many activities throughout the year that have nothing to do with tennis and padel, including: winter sports, lift weekend, weekends away, several separate activities / parties throughout the year and our weekly drink on Wednesday evening. As a member of the association you will also receive a KNLTB account upon request, which means that you can participate in all tournaments in the Netherlands. In addition, there is the possibility to participate in the KNLTB competitions, in which Chip & Charge plays with several teams of different strengths on Saturday and Sunday.
You can enroll with us at the beginning of the academic year. A lottery will be held depending on the number of registrations. Every Monday of September we organize open club evenings so that you as a future member can taste the atmosphere at our association. In addition, the introduction weekend for first-year students takes place in the first weekend of October. A very nice weekend full of activities and parties in which you immediately get to know a large part of the new members in an easy way.
